What's the difference between the Schools App and our school's Facebook Page?
Facebook Pages are designed to disseminate information to a wider audience, as a marketing channel much like a school's website. On the other hand, the Schools App is a Facebook application designed to build community amongst incoming college students, driving friendship and belonging. These efforts are very different and complement each other well. We encourage our customers to continue to use their Facebook Pages as a way to build better market awareness.

So is this like a Facebook within a Facebook?
Something like that! Imagine a version of Facebook that was focused on helping your students find new friends and connect to your college's greater community based on their lifestyle and interests. It's more than a social network within a social network - it's a way to make your prospects feel at home at your institution before they ever set foot on campus.

What is involved in getting the Schools App up and running at my college?
Once you agree to move forward, we'll just need some basic information from you to build your app, like a list of accepted students, majors, clubs and organizations, residence halls, and current students and staff who will have access. We'll take it from there. Then, a few weeks later, we'll deliver your app for your review and testing. Once we get your approval, consider it launched!
-
Once it's up and running, how much effort does it take to maintain?
Typically it will take no more than 10 minutes a day. We've built the Schools App with advanced moderation tools to keep it as hands off to maintain for university staff as possible.

Is the Schools App FERPA-compliant?
Yes. Inigral has worked with both institutions and legal teams to ensure that the Schools App is FERPA compliant. The app is built around an opt-in model of information sharing, where users have complete control to represent themselves how they wish.
How much does the Schools App cost?
The pricing model is an annual license based on the number of enrolled students at your institution. Each school can choose to launch to admitted students, enrolled students, or both.
